The Creighton Bluejays will try to boost their tournament resume even more on Tuesday night when they visit Butler in Big East action.
Coming off victories over Xavier and Marquette the Bluejays are 8-5 and have moved into third place in the conference standings.
“We can’t look too far ahead and we have to stay solid, stay grounded and hungry”, said junior guard Maurice Watson. “That is one of the advantages that we have is staying hungry.”
Creighton is 17-9 overall and senior center Geoffrey Groselle says there is still a lot of work to do.
“It has been our goal right from the start to get back to the NCAA Tournament and we are sitting there right on the bubble and fighting to get in”, said Groselle.
Butler is also sitting on the bubble. The Bulldogs have won three of their last four but are just 6-7 in the Big East. Creighton won the first meeting with the Bulldogs 72-64 in Omaha back on January 23.
