With two of its key players sidelined with injury the Nebraska women’s basketball team lost its second home game of the season 68-50 to Purdue. Rachel Theriot missed the game with a foot injury and Kyndal Clark will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
“Kyndal has been serving as our backup point guard so when Rachel Theriot is out Kyndal is our next option”, said Nebraska coach Connie Yori. “We lost basically our two point guards without having an opportunity to practice.”
The Huskers shot only 35 percent and freshman forward Jessica Shepard was held to a season low two points. The Boilermakers also won the battle on the glass 45-26.
Natalie Romeo led Nebraska with 15 points as the Huskers fall to 8-8 in the Big Ten and 17-10 overall.
