The Nebraska women’s basketball team was outscored 22-12 in the third quarter as the Huskers lost to Indiana 79-68 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Hoosiers connected on 52 percent from the field, including 11 of 19 from three point range.
It was the Husker’s second straight game without injured point guard Rachel Theriot and coach Connie Yori was proud of the effort.
“Not to say we were emotionless against Purdue but I did not think we had enough kids play as hard as we needed to but today was a very different feel”, said Yori. “I don’t mind going into the locker room after the game and losing when you try hard and do the best you can.”
Natalie Romeo led the Huskers with 17 points as they fall to 8-9 in the Big Ten.
