Creighton women’s basketball coach Jim Flanery is still looking for consistency as the final weekend of the regular season approaches. The Bluejays are 7-9 in the Big East and will try to improve their seeding in the upcoming conference tournament on Friday night when they visit Seton Hall.
“We haven’t been a consistent practice team”, said Flanery. “When you are not as consistent as you need to be in practice you get the erratic results that we have gotten.”
After Friday’s game Creighton will close out the regular season on Sunday at St. Johns and Flanery hopes the end of the season will trigger a sense of urgency.
“Sometimes your focus gets keener at the end of the year and you understand the urgency of it but we are going to have to practice that way.”
Creighton is 13-15 overall and currently tied with Georgetown in seventh place in the Big East standings.
