Nebraska receiver Jordan Westerkamp says the seniors set the tone for winter workouts and now that group hopes to leave its mark with a successful season.
The Huskers open spring drills on Saturday and it will be their second spring with Mike Riley’s staff.
“It has been a crazy ride so far but it has been a good one and we have come through a lot with the coaching staff”, said Westerkamp. These guys are ready for spring ball.”
Westerkamp says the Huskers gained a lot of momentum for winter workouts with a win over UCLA in the Foster Farms Bowl and the seniors are determined to help the program regain its winning ways.
“It is crazy that is our last year for us but we know how important this last year is.”
