Omaha police made an arrest in a murder dating back to August 15, 2015. Around 9:50 that morning, officers were sent to Fontanelle Boulevard and Sorensen Parkway in Omaha where they located a man suffering from a number of gunshot wounds. 19 year old Garion Johnson was rushed to a hospital where he later died.
Omaha police arrested 26 year old Preston Pope in connection to Johnson’s homicide on Monday, March 28th. Pope was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 1st degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and use of a weapon by a prohibited person.
On Tuesday, March 1st, Omaha police booked 26 year old Marcus Short in connection to Johnson’s murder. He was booked for 1st degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He remains incarcerated.
