A traffic stop in western Nebraska resulted in the seizure of more than 240 pounds of marijuana.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports a drug dog with the Red Willow County Sheriff’s Office was brought to the traffic stop on Highway 6 in Hitchcock County early Wednesday evening. When the dog indicated drugs were present, a search found two large duffel bags stuffed with 240.5 pounds of marijuana.
The driver initially was stopped for improper passing.
32-year-old Christopher Carrillo of Phoenix, AZ has been taken into custody in Hitchcock County, charged with possession with the intent to sell the marijuana. A female passenger has been released.
