Nebraska has five prime-time games scheduled for the 2016 football season.
Three Huskers games will be played under the lights on the Big Ten Network, including the season opener on September 3, against Fresno State. The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Stadium. Nebraska will visit Northwestern for a 6:30p.m. kick off on September 24 and host Minnesota on November 12 for a 6:30 p.m. kick in Lincoln.
The matchup with Fresno State will mark Nebraska’s first night opener since defeating Wyoming in the 2013 opener in Lincoln. The game will mark the tenth time in school history Nebraska has opened a season with a home night game at Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska also played a night game in Evanston in 2014, when the Huskers and Northwestern squared off in a 38-17 Husker win . The night matchup with Minnesota is the Huskers’ first with the Gophers in six games as Big Ten opponents.
Last week, ESPN announced that the Huskers’ road games at Wisconsin on October 29 and Ohio State on November 5 will be televised in prime time by the ESPN family of networks.
