Demand for tickets to the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials in Omaha is at an all-time high. Omaha Sports Commission President Harold Cliff says seven of the eight days are sold out and there are fewer than 600 tickets remaining for the last session on July 3rd. He expects this to be a sell-out event.
Cliff says because there are only two races on the final day of the event, the women’s 50 meter freestyle and the men’s 1500m freestyle, they have arranged for extra entertainment for the crowd. That includes performers from Cirque Du Soleil.
More than 200-thousand tickets have been sold for the 2016 trials. Cliff says in 2012 there were three sold out sessions and none in 2008 so the event keeps building in popularity.
Tickets are still available through all Ticketmaster outlets and at Ticketmaster.com.
