It appears the three persons discovered death in a Lincoln home this past weekend were victims of a murder-suicide.
Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister reports on the results of autopsies done on the bodies.
“Tina Jensen and Norma Voges died from multiple gunshot wounds. Ronald Heritage died from a single gunshot to the head,” Bliemeister tells reporters during a news briefing. “The autopsies and investigative follow-up show that Tina Jensen and Norma Voges were shot and killed by Ronald Heritage prior to taking his own life.”
Bliemeister says Heritage and Jensen lived together in the residence. Voges was a longtime friend of both. Friends report that Heritage and Jensen had been arguing in recent days leading up the shootings Saturday evening.
“We believe Ronald Heritage and Tina Jensen were involved in a disturbance in the days leading up to their deaths,” according to Bliemeister.
The investigation concludes Jensen and Voges went to the home Saturday to gather Jensen’s belongings and help her move out. The shootings occurred either late Saturday evening or early Sunday morning.
All three worked for the United States Postal Service.
