A traffic stop in Council Bluffs, Iowa, early this morning led to multiple arrests and the discovery of a Nebraska runaway.
Council Bluffs police pulled over an SUV about half-past midnight and the officer who approached said he smelled marijuana and spotted a clip for semi-automatic handgun.
During a search, police say marijuana was found on three of the four adults along with a gun. Officers also identified a runaway from Omaha with outstanding juvenile warrants.
A one-year-old child was taken into protective custody. The mother faces a child endangerment charge while two men were arrested on a list of charges.
Those arrested are: 23-year-old Diana Morales of Council Bluffs, 19-year-old Jorge Morales-Diaz of Omaha and 23-year-old Rafael Hernandez-Martinez of Council Bluffs. The runaway was not named.
