The Nebraska offense wants to display more balance in Saturday’s game against Wyoming. The Huskers ran the ball 51 times for 292 yards in a 43-10 win over Fresno State but completed only six of 13 passes for 114 yards.
Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf says the Huskers will need a more efficient passing game down the road.
“I don’t want to sound negative about running the ball well but I think the focus for us is needing to throw the ball a little better”, said Langsdorf. “We feel like to win the conference we are going to have to be a better passing team and have that balance.”
Husker head coach Mike Riley says while they are looking for more balance the run-pass ratio may vary from game to game.
“That was probably as we went through it was the thought that this is how we are going to win this game”, said Riley. “The thing that will be an emphasis is the ability to blend it better than that.”
