Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Mike Pence will be making a campaign stop in Iowa today but will not be crossing the river into Nebraska as originally planned. There are a lot of questions as to who canceled his appearance. Bud Synhorst is the executive director for the Nebraska Republican Party and he says they were up against the clock to make this work.
Synhorst says, “We had heard from the Trump – Pence campaign that Governor Pence was thinking about coming in. Trying to schedule different things, a public event and maybe a small meet-and-greet and with the late time frame where we were given more detail just logistically we couldn’t make it work.”
Synhorst says they are working with the Trump – Pence campaign and scheduling another time for Governor Pence to come back to Nebraska.
