There won’t be any tricks but a lot of treats at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum on October 22nd and 23rd. Marketing Director Deb Hermann says they are combining some Halloween fun during their annual “Planes, Trains & Autos” event.
Hermann says, “There will be over 20 vehicles that will be set during a 1960’s and a little bit of ’70’s time frame. It is all muscle cars. We’ve got the trains all set up. A couple of different groups will be out here with their model train displays and of course we have the planes.”
Hermann says they are combining this event with Halloween and children are encouraged to come in costume and trick-or-treat at a number of stations that will be set up around the museum. Children can also work with museum educators who will help children build a plane, train or car out of boxes showcasing modes of transportation over time. The just opened their Children’s Learning Center where and they will be able to explore that area as well.
The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum is located just off I-80 at exit 420 near Ashland.
