Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton met Wednesday night for the final presidential candidate debate before the November 8th election. University of Nebraska – Omaha Political Science Professor Randall Adkins analyzed the debate with this summary.
Adkins says, “Hillary probably beat him on points. She is just really good at articulating her policies more clearly and did a better job of comparing her experience against his. He did a better job of what he needed to do in the first debate is pivoting to attack her.”
There are also some questioning the polls that consistently show Clinton in command. Adkins says when you get 10 or 12 polls you can throw out the best and the worst ones but when you are looking at that many polls and seeing the averages things are not looking that good for Trump right now.
Adkins says both have a much different campaign style. He says Trump is trying hard to get his core supporters to the polls while Clinton is trying to reach that voter in the middle. He says in the end it will likely depend who turns out to vote in those key battleground states.
