The visitation is being held tonight for the southeastern Nebraska family of six that was killed in a house fire last week.
Investigators says it appears ash and embers from the home’s fireplace in the living room set carpeting and furniture on fire early last Thursday in Cass County near the town of Weeping Water.
The 111-year-old farmhouse burned to the ground just after midnight.
John and Michelle Speer, both 36, perished in the blaze, as did their four daughters: Elli, Adilynn, Emma and Anniston. The girls ranged from two to 11 years old.
Tonight’s visitation starts at 6 o’clock at Calvary Christian Church in Bellevue, while the memorial service is at 10 tomorrow morning at the church.
