Nebraska still controls its own destiny in the Big Ten West Division race but a loss at Wisconsin has eliminated the margin for error. The ninth ranked Huskers take a 4-1 Big Ten record on the road this week to play number-six Ohio State.
“If we could have won game that would have been a huge game in this race down to the wire”, said Husker coach Mike Riley. “But we didn’t so it has tightened up for us a little bit. Some of these teams are rising and are in pretty good shape so you’ve got to win.”
Senior tight end Trey Foster says with a trip to Columbus coming up next there will be no trouble putting the loss at Wisconsin behind them.
“We are not going to be hung up about it and be sad about that”, said Foster. “The season is still right in front of us and nobody’s dreams have been crushed.”
