An Omaha woman has been placed on three years’ probation for wrongfully obtaining health information.
Federal prosecutor Deborah Gilg says 42-year-old Carrie Case, working as a clerk in a physicians’ clinic in Omaha, unlawfully accessed and obtained electronic and hard copy medical records of an individual maintained within the UNMC and CHIH health systems. Case gave the records to another person without permission.
Chief District Court Judge Laurie Smith Camp sentenced Case.
The FBI investigated the case.
