Creighton coach Greg McDermott will get a good read on where his team stands on Tuesday night when the Bluejays host ninth ranked Wisconsin. McDermott gave his team mixed reviews following a season opening 89-82 victory over Missouri-Kansas City.
“If we are the team that scored 76 points in about 27 minutes then we will be fine but if we are the team that scored 13 in the last 12 minutes then we will be in trouble”, said McDermott. “We will need a great effort because we are playing a heck of a basketball team.”
McDermott says the Jays will need to do a better job on the boards and taking care of the ball against the Badgers. Creighton committed 17 turnovers against UMKC.
“Wisconsin is a team that does not beat themselves and we are going to have to beat them. It is going to be a physical game and they are a top ten team for a reason.”
Wisconsin (1-0) opened the season with a 79-47 win over Central Arkansas.
