A Grand Island man has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison and ordered to forfeit nearly $19,000 after being convicted on drugs and arms charges.
30-year-old Aaron Kreifels will have to serve three years of supervised release after he serves his prison term. In addition, Kreifels will have to forfeit $18,880 as proceeds of drug trafficking. He has also been charged $300 in special assessments.
Kreifels was convicted of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute psilocybin mushrooms, and felon in possession of a firearm.
In July of last year, a search warrant executed on Kreifels’ home found marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms, a 9 mm handgun, and $18,880 in United States currency.
Kreifels pleaded guilty in August.
