They dumped him, so he dumped their corn.
Gage County Court records say a Pennsylvania trucker dumped a thousand bushels of corn on Nebraska Highway 8 near Odell after receiving a text from his boss that he had been fired.
36-year-old Darren Walp of Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania has been charged with felony criminal mischief and a related misdemeanor.
According to court records, Walp was carrying corn from Reynolds, Nebraska to Hanover, Kansas in August when he got a text from his boss at B&T Livingston Trucking. Shortly after being dismissed, Walp stopped on Highway 8, got out and opened the bottom hopper doors on the grain trailer. He then drove down the highway about a quarter of a mile, spilling about $3,100 worth of corn.
