Some rain might fall in Nebraska this Thanksgiving, otherwise the weather looks good for the weekend with rain entering the forecast at the end of the long holiday weekend.
The National Weather Service reports there is a slight chance for rain this afternoon in eastern Nebraska with a high hovering around 40 degrees. There will be areas of dense fog this morning in central and western Nebraska, giving way to party sunny skies this afternoon with a high expected to push beyond 45.
A chance of rain continues into the early evening in the east, according to NWS, with mostly clear skies expected as you travel west across the state.
NWS forecasters expect a bright, sunny Friday with highs near 50 in eastern Nebraska, even warmer on Saturday when highs are expected to reach near 60 under sunny skies. It should be even warmer in central and western Nebraska with the high Friday expected to be 55 under sunny skies; sunny with a high near 60 on Saturday.
While party sunny skies are expected in central to western Nebraska on Sunday, a chance of rain reenters the forecast for eastern Nebraska on Sunday with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.
