Santa will be leaving his reindeer at the North Pole this Saturday when he arrives at the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum near Ashland on Saturday. It is the annual Santa Goes to Space Day and Marketing Director Deb Hermann says Santa will be celebrating with some very special guests.
Hermann says, “Santa is led in by the Star Wars Storm Troopers on December 3rd starting at 10 a.m. It is a full group of characters in Star Wars and they will stay out here for the whole time.”
Young guests will have the chance to sit inside the museum’s mini-F4 fighter jet. Santa will sit on the wing and children will have a chance to visit with him. Along with Santa and Star Wars the museum will offer free planetarium showings, space related crafts, make and take items and visit special space related booths. The event runs until 2 p.m. The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum is located just off I-80 at exit 426.
