The Nebraska football team landed in Nashville on Sunday as game week begins leading into Friday’s Music City Bowl against Tennessee.
“Bowl games are a great time to bond with the team and spend some good time together”, said senior tight end Sam Cotton. “We spend nearly every hour of every day with each other anyway but to do it in a town like Nashville is a lot of fun.”
The Huskers are 9-3 and will be in search of their second straight bow win after beating UCLA a year ago in the Foster Farms Bowl.
“It is a good ending for the seniors and a it is a good beginning for everybody else”, said Nebraska coach Mike Riley. “We are going to get a bunch of bowl gear and if you lose you don’t really even want to wear it.”
Nebraska begins practicing, today, at Vanderbilt University.
