Nebraska is 2-0 in the Big Ten Conference for the first time. The Huskers outscored Maryland 14-0 to close the game in a 67-65 victory, their second straight road win to open the league race. Senior guard Tai Webster led the Huskers with 18 points and scored the final seven points of the game.
“Coach Miles instilled a lot of belief in us toward the end and we live for moments like this”, said Webster. We haven’t had the start to the season that we wanted so to be in this position now is awesome.”
Nebraska’s run began just moments after the Terrapins capped a 17-0 to take a 13-point lead.
“These guys are a tough minded team and they practice hard and play hard”, said Nebraska coach Tim Miles. “They just stay with it and that was the thing (today) was to not freak out and just stay with it.”
The Huskers are 8-6 overall and return home to host Iowa on Thursday night.
