Offutt Air Force Base may have canceled their 2017 air show but everything is a go on January 14th at the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum near Ashland. Marketing and PR Director Deb Hermann says their annual indoor air show is set.
Hermann says, “We have our RC flyers, those model pilots will demonstrate flips, loops and barrel rolls inside our restoration hangar on January 14th.” Several RC clubs will fly throughout the day. The pubic is invited to come to the museum and experience flight, learn about radio controlled aircraft, quad copters and safe flying patterns.
The Indoor Air Show will also include display and information booths from several clubs including an ultra light organization. An ultra light aircraft presentation will be held in the theater at 1 p.m.
Hermann says it also is the opening day of their new exhibit, Black Holes: Space Warps & Time Twists. She says, “Black holes is all about outer space and learning about those controversial things and take you to the edge of the Milky Way.” That exhibit will be on display through June 4th.
