Creighton looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season when the 10th ranked Bluejays visit St. John’s in Big East Conference play on Wednesday night. Creighton is coming off an 80-70 loss at home to top ranked Villanova and takes on a St. John’s team that is 2-0 in the league race after posting wins over Butler and DePaul.
Creighton coach Greg McDermott says every road game is a challenge in the league race.
“St. John’s is going to give us their best shot and so will Providence when we go over there on Saturday”, said McDermott. “The team that figures out a way to hook it up 18 times is probably the team that is going to win this league and I hope that can be us.”
Rebounding is an area that needs to improve. Creighton was beaten on the glass 37-22 by Villanova.
“We will look at it and see how many bounced to the wrong place and how many were blown assignments and we will work to fix the blown assignments.”
