A 45-year-old real estate agent has been charged with killing a convenience store clerk by running him over with his pickup.
Omaha police report Dirk Blume of Omaha has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 40-year-old Seth Hansen, struck and killed January 7th outside the Speedee Mart where he worked as a clerk.
Police say tips from the public led to the arrest of Blume at his workplace, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.
The Omaha World-Herald reports a person with knowledge of the investigation says Blume was enraged that Hansen refused to sell him an item, reportedly chewing tobacco, because he had just closed the store.
Hansen was run over as he walked outside to take out the trash. Omaha police say detectives located the white Ford F-150 they had been searching for at Blume’s real estate office. It has been confiscated as evidence.
