Nebraskans are being urged to walk, run, bike, even paddle 150 miles this year in celebration of the state sesquicentennial.
Nebraska Sports Council Executive Director Dave Mlnarik says Nebraskans can simply register, set goals, and get moving to participate in the NE150 Challenge.
He also says they should get connected.
“There’s a great social media component. So if you hashtag #nemiles when you post anything on your Twitter account or to Facebook, Instagram it’s going to pop up on the NE150 Challenge website,” Mlnarik tells reporters during a news conference in Gov. Pete Ricketts’ office. “And you can see already there are so many Nebraskans interacting on there. In fact, there are over 15-hundred people now signed up for the challenge, which is great.”
Mlnarik says companies can participate as well.
