Nebraska’s losing streak has reached five games. Northwestern blew the game open with a late 16-1 run in a 73-61 win over the Huskers in Evanston. It was the Huskers’ first double digit loss since an 89-72 loss at Kansas on December 10.
“In a four minute span the lead goes for four to 19”, said Nebraska coach Tim Miles. “We lost out composure I thought and that is what happens when we don’t get stops.”
Tai Webster had 23 points as Nebraska falls to 3-5 in the Big Ten.
Sophomore center Derek Pardon had 19 points and 22 rebounds for the Wildcats, who at 6-2 in the Big Ten and 17-4 overall appear headed for the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
