Michigan State took command with a late run in the first half and rolled to an 88-72 win over Nebraska. Nebraska coach Tim Miles says the Huskers were on their heels virtually the entire game.
“The devastating part of the game for us was the last four minutes of the first half”, said Miles. “That’s just a lot to overcome.”
Tai Webster led Nebraska with 19 points, including 12-of-13 from the foul line, but it was a cold-shooting night for the Huskers, who shot 39 percent, including 27 percent in the first half. Evan Taylor was the only other Husker to finish with double figures with 10 points and three assists.
The Huskers return home Sunday night to takes on Illinois as part of Legend Weekend. Tipoff at Pinnacle Bank Arena is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game will be televised by BTN.
