14-year-old Kevin Ramirez-Cabrera of Omaha died from injuries sustained in the wreck.
The Omaha Police Department reports both police and firefighters responded to a report of a personal injury crash very early Saturday morning, March 18th. The police investigation determined the car was speeding northbound on Riverfront Drive when Regalado lost control of the car and hit a metal light pole on the west side of the street.
Ramirez-Cabrera, who was sitting in the back seat, was not wearing a seat belt. He was rushed to CHI Creighton University Medical Center with extremely critical injuries. Hospital personnel pronounced him dead when he arrived.
Neither Regalado nor the front seat passenger reported any injuries.
