Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf says he was impressed with the way the quarterbacks handled third down situations during Thursday’s practice. The Huskers practiced in full pads for the first time this spring and Langsdorf says the quarterbacks did a good job of utilizing the running backs in the passing game.
“Rather than trying throw it into coverage and interceptions.”, said Langsdorf “I think they are doing a good job of utilizing those check downs and with that the completion percentage gets higher and the backs catch more balls.”
With two weeks remaining until the spring game Langsdorf has been happy with the progress.
“The quarterbacks are really battling but we want somebody to seperate there”. added Langsdorf. “I like where we are at with this group. I think it is a bunch of good kids who like playing and that shows with the energy at practice.”
Nebraska’s spring game is April 15.
