The Nebraska baseball team claimed its ninth straight victory over UNO. The Huskers managed only seven hits and overcame a season-high three errors to post a 3-1 victory at Werner Park.
The Mavericks squandered several scoring chances. They left 12 runners on bases, including the bases loaded three times.
Chad Luensmann got the final seven outs of the game for his team-high fifth save of the season. Luensmann now has sole possession of third place on NU’s all-time saves list with 18 career saves after entering the night tied with Thom Ott.
Nebraska improves to 17-10-1 and will be at home for a three game Big Ten seriues against Maryland beginning Friday night. UNO falls to 6-21 and the Mavericks are at home this weekend in Summit League action to host Western Illinois.
