The Nebraska football team suffered its first major injury of the spring as coach Mike Riley announced that sophomore safety JoJo Doman suffered an ACL injury.
“He hurt his knee in a non contact injury,” saidRiley. “It was a freak deal and is really disappointing for everybody. We are going to fix him up and he will be back but I don’t know when. I am sure he will work hard to get back this year but he also dis not redshirt so we have got a year to play with here.”
Riley also announced that senior defensive end A.J. Natter underwent knee surgery and will be out at least six months. The native of Milton, Wisconsin, appeared in six games last season.
“I think what they did with him was a similar length of time as an ACL which is sometime in October,” added Riley.
The Huskers will conduct their second scrimmage of the spring on Saturday.
