A western Nebraska teenager has been killed in a rollover accident in the Panhandle.
The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office reports 17-year-old Robert Kanniard III of rural Scottsbluff died of injuries from the wreck.
According to the sheriff’s office, Kanniard was a passenger in a pick-up driven by 16-year-old Cody Kissler. Kissler lost control of the truck about five miles east of Scottsbluff early Saturday afternoon. The pickup rolled over, coming to rest on its wheels at the side of the road.
Both were taken to the Scottsbluff hospital. Kanniard was flown of Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado when he was pronounced dead Sunday evening.
