It has been 37 years but the film Airplane remains a comedy classic. Airplane is the next feature at the Omaha Classic Film event May 26th. Film historian Bruce Crawford is the event organizer says this is the most quoted film of all time. Airplane was a hit in the box office as well as brought back many famous stars to the big screen including Leslie Nielsen, Robert Stack and Lloyd Bridges.
Robert Hays who played the role of Ted Striker will be the special guest and will speak prior to the showing of the film. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Nebraska Kidney Association.
The Classic Film events draw an audience from all over the country and one never knows who may show up and attend. The event will be held at the Joslyn Museum in Omaha. Tickets are $23 and available at all Omaha area Hy-Vee stores.
