With spring practice over college football shifts to the “recruiting season” and Nebraska appears to have momentum heading into the summer. The Huskers already have 10 commitments for the 2018 class and has risen to No. 8 nationally in the 247Sports composite rankings.
“I think our momentum is good”, said Nebraska coach Mike Riley. “There is a ton of excitement out there that gets created with some decisions that were made and the work our coaches are doing.”
Riley says there is a possibility Nebraska could have its entire 2018 recruiting class filled by the start of July and says the early commitments allows the coaches to get to work on building the 2019 recruiting class.
“As we all know this has accelerated to the point that you have to be prepared”, added Riley. “We are actually working on both.”
