A grand jury will investigate the death of a man in Omaha police custody.
Officers were called to the Buckys convenience store at 12:30 Monday morning. Employees say there was a man inside the store causing a disturbance and he refused to leave.
When police arrived the man’s behavior hadn’t changed. They took him outside and that is when he started struggling with officers. That is when a Taser was deployed. The man was rushed to a hospital with CPR in progress. It was later announced the man died.
It is not yet known what caused the man’s death or whether he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
