An 89-year-old North Platte man has been killed after driving the wrong way on Interstate 80 and crashing head-on into another vehicle.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports Deloyce Robinson died in the accident.
The driver of the second car, 28-year-old Nicholas Yonce of Garner, North Carolina, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.
NSP reports the crash occurred on I-80 a half mile west of Cozad in Dawson County just before 1 o’clock this morning. The car driven by Robinson veered into the westbound lanes of I-80, traveling the wrong direction. The car collided head-on with the pick-up driven by Yonce.
