A new survey finds Nebraska is the best state in the country for anyone who’s going to be hunting for a job in the next few months.
Kathy Joblinske, spokeswoman for Manpower Incorporated, says their quarterly survey of business leaders about hiring intentions for the 3rd quarter finds exceptional results for the Husker State.
Joblinske says, “For Nebraska for Q3, 30% of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees while 1% expect to reduce their payroll.”
Another 68% of Nebraska’s employers plan to keep staffing levels the same for July through September, while 1% weren’t sure. It places Nebraska atop the country’s rankings for the quarter.
“Nebraska has the best outlook in the nation, compared to all other states,” she says.
Nebraska is ranked one-two with a neighboring state for the jobs outlook.
“Nebraska is actually coming in as the best employment outlook across the country with a 29% net employment outlook versus 28% for the state of Iowa,” Joblinske says.
Joblinski says the job prospects are best for the 3rd quarter in a host of industries, including: construction, manufacturing, retail trade, education and health services.
Nationally, Manpower surveyed around 11,000 employers.
