Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg made a stop in Omaha Saturday. It was Zuckerberg first trip to Nebraska. He is on a 30 city tour after announcing a change in Facebook to focus on community engagement.
Zuckerberg attended the Heartland PRIDE Festival at Stinson Park. He met up with Mayor Jean Stothert who welcomed Zuckerberg, delivered a proclamation and visited for about ten minutes. Stothert told him Omaha is a great city to live and visit and gave him tips of places to visit while he is in town including the Old Market.
David Kerr facilitated Zuckerberg’s visit. He is the President of Heartland PRIDE and a member of the LGBTQ + Advisory Group.
