Former Air Force General and now Congressman Don Bacon has a lot of respect for President Trump’s new Chief of Staff John Kelly. Bacon says he has a lot of faith that Kelly is the man who will be able get control of the White House and the distractions that prevent Congress from getting things done.
Congressman Bacon says, “First of all he wants to make a difference for our country and things our country needs so he is doing it out of duty and says I can have an impact. I (Kelly) was a four star general and I can whip this into shape and get this place disciplined so I think he is doing this because he wants to serve.”
Congressman Bacon say secondly, he would presume since Kelly was made Chief of Staff Kelly will be allowed to organize things, make decision on personnel and give him the freedom to run the department as he sees fit.
Bacon says Congress has plenty to do and all the diversion has not been helpful. He says the distractions are in the way of of issues like the repeal and replacement of health care, tax reform and rolling back regulations for small businesses.
