Congressman Don Bacon will be traveling to Israel next week.
Bacon’s office says the Congressman will receive updates on the relationship of the United States to Israel. He also will be briefed on its security as well as political and economic trends in the region.
Bacon plans to meet with senior Israeli and Palestinian leaders to explore opportunities for economic and technological cooperation with the Israeli business community.
“As an Air Force Officer, I helped set up Israel’s missile defense system and I am looking forward to seeing how it is being utilized and how it has progressed,” Congressman Bacon said in a written statement released by his office. “I look forward to joining Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and my freshman colleagues in gaining a broader understanding of the quest for a lasting peace in the region with a wide variety of leaders across the spectrum-Israelis, Palestinians, religious figures, opposition members, military members and ordinary citizens. At a time of great instability in the region, Israel is America’s most important ally.”
The trip is sponsored by the American Israel Education Foundation sponsors the trip.
