As the Nebraska football team prepares for a new season Cole Conrad is getting used to a new position. The native of Fremont played all 13 games last season and started the final five at tackle. He was moved to center during spring drills and says the new position brings new responsibilities.
“Just recognizing what the defense is doing”, said Conrad. “I think that is the biggest part for any center.”
Conrad says one of the things motivating the Huskers is how last season ended. Nebraska lost its final two games, including a 38-24 loss to Tennessee in the Music City Bowl.
“That was one of the things that motivated me personally and the offensive line as well”, added Conrad. “Moving into this season we remember that.”
The Huskers open September 2 against Arkansas State.
