Nebraska suffered its first major injury of fall camp. Freshman receiver Jaevon McQuitty suffered a knee injury this week and will be lost for the season.
“For a true freshman that has been here for a short time I was really pleased with how he was progressing”, said Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf. “I don’t think he was going to go in there and start but he was definitely in the conversation for playing. He was having a good camp.”
Langsdorf also commented on junior quarterback Tanner Lee’s performance since the start of fall camp.
“Pretty good…there’s been a few things that we got to clean up,” Langsdorf said. “Making sure we know even from the quarterback center exchange, which really falls on the center and the quarterback, but he’s a part of that battery. I think he’s done a nice job playing fast and making good decisions for the most part.”
