The Nebraska football team returns to the practice field today to begin the third week of fall camp. Husker coach Mike Riley says after this week the Huskers will move into game prep mode for the September 2 opener against Arkansas State.
“This is going to be for us as we approach it one more week of training camp”, said Riley. “Then we start heading into two weeks of Arkansas State type stuff.”
The Huskers conducted a 90-play scrimmage on Saturday and coach Mike Riley liked the progress made by the offense.
“There were some snap shots there that look like a picture of what we want to be”, added Riley. “The efficiency parts of running the ball was pretty good and the play action off the run was pretty good and the third down efficiency looked good at times.”
