Nebraskans in the Omaha metro area gathered Wednesday night at the Gene Leahy Mall in unity after the riots in Charlottesville, Virginia last weekend.
One woman talked about the importance of spreading the message of tolerance and education. She stated that many children and young adults are not educated in the history of the Nazi’s or fascism. This is a case of ignorance not being bliss and it is everyone’s responsibility to inspire change and acceptance.
At least 100 participants held signs saying “no violence” to “fine people don’t march with Nazi’s”.
