Two teen-age boys died when an Amtrak train crashed into their car at a railroad crossing in southwestern Lincoln.
Lincoln police say the car drove around a railroad crossing arm and into the path of the passenger train very early Friday morning.
Names of the two 17-year-olds have not been released as investigators work to notify family members.
Police say the wreck occurred at South Folsom and West South Streets in Lincoln. The train and car came to a stop near Van Dorn Streets.
The Amtrak train had nearly 300 passengers onboard. None of the passengers were hurt. The train returned to the Lincoln station for inspection. It resumed a trip west this morning.
