The Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority in Omaha is making a change regarding ticket sales for the upcoming Shania Twain concert on May 18th. President and CEO Roger Dixon says a ticket must be presented in order to gain entry to the show and there are two forms of tickets they will accept.
Dixon says customers can either purchase a digital ticket that will be delivered by email or a standard ticket that will be sent through the U.S. Postal Service. He says, “What we are eliminating it printing these tickets at home off of computers. We are doing this basically because we are having some issues with people taking the printed ticket from their home computer, making copies of it and selling those copies.”
Dixon says this new policy only applies to the Shania Twain concert but it could become the new norm moving forward. He says they will be talking to future promoters and artists about this change.
Ticket sales to the Shania Twain concert start tomorrow.
